The summer break can be a great time to refresh yourself from the rigor of academic pursuits. However, it can also be a very dry time in your spiritual journey. Doing nothing about this only makes things worse for you and maybe even those around you. So that's why every summer we offer a 90 day challenge to students that will enable them to survive the summer spiritually. We just started our 90 day challenge to read through the entire New Testament and we want you to join us! Can you believe that it only takes about 20 minutes to read 3 chapters every night for 90 days. Every night we send out a link through the ACT GroupMe that enables you to join the live reading. Check out our page that explains more about our 90 day journey.
As part of our 90 day challenge we will be reading two books over break: Everybody Always by Bob Goff & Radical by David Platt. We will start the nightly book reading on Friday, June 1st following the regular reading of the New Testament.
Another part of our 90day survival plan is PRAYER. We want to encourage all of us to download and print the guide (link below) and faithfully prayer through the guide many times over break, if not nightly! Here is that prayer guide from the good people over at godsquad.com: PRAYER GUIDE
Please know that it is vital to your faith that you do something more than attend a few church services over break. We are praying that you will stay refreshed and engaged with Jesus over break and come back recharged and ready to go in the Fall. If you are having a hard time please let us know. We would love to pray with you over the phone or skype or visit with you over the break. We are praying for each one of you and are excited to see how you respond to the challenges the Lord presents to you over break!

This is a always a great night to laugh a lot and relieve some stress! We've invited some of the international English students as well.
We are excited about our upcoming Winter Retreat on Feb 16-18 at beautiful Mohican State Park. This is a weekend getaway designed to draw nearer to the Lord and to one another. We partner with 4 other campus ministries in Ohio every year for this retreat. This is a new location for us and we are really excited. Lots of opportunities to go hiking in the spacious woods, learn more about how you can build solitude into your busy life, and make new friends from other campus ministries! Space this year is limited so signup right away.
COST: $50 - please do not let lack of money keep you from going! ACT will offer a few partial scholarships for those in need, but you have to talk to us. The real cost of the retreat is over $100 but ACT is helping to offset that cost by half for you already.
This is one of the favorite events of the year for ACT'ers for many, many years. We would love to have you experience this getaway with us! More than that, we would love for you to getaway for a few days just to be still and chill long enough to hear from God's!
Join us for Thursday Nights Together (TNT!) is ACT's weekly gathering dedicated to helping followers of Jesus GROW in their faith and to equip them to GO join Jesus in mission!

On Friday Oct 13th we hosted the ever popular God Dogs & Jesus Burger giveaway. Something new this time, we were much more intentional about prayer from beginning to end. We even included a prayer wall where our guests could share prayer requests for themselves or loved ones. Those requests were then prayed for in our live prayer room on the spot! Almost everyone we talked with expressed their appreciation for the prayer wall and for those praying in the prayer room.
You have to check out this video highlight that our UT ACT Campus Pastor and MEDIA MADMAN (shout out to Scott Weaver) just threw together from the Jesus Burger giveaway. Check it out!
We are so excited about our ROAD TRIP to Detroit & Dearborn this weekend! We are calling this the "WHO IS MY NEIGHBOR?" trip. Our prayer is for our team to discover God's great heart for all people and all nations! We are visiting with ministry friends that are living and loving in neighborhoods that many Christians do not live in or could even imagine living in. But we know God is loving and living in these neighborhoods and this weekend we get to hang out with Him!
If you are not going on the trip with us, would you partner in prayer Friday & Saturday for our team? We would love also love if you let us know you prayed by texting Don (419-777-9797) AND feel free to offer a few words of encouragement you want to share with our students!
Here is a video from CDC in Detroit, one of our road trip sites we will hanging out at:
We all had a great time Kayaking! We did not lose a single student! However, we did almost leave Michael behind. Thanks to everyone that braved "the cold!"
