ACT this Summer! | ()
Hello everyone! Although it has been a while since the last article posting here on the site, that does not mean that things have stopped moving at ACT in BG! The summer is flying by and we're already deep in our current Bible Study. If you're going to be around at all this summer, I encourage you to stop by and check it out, because it's an awesome time! Don't worry if you've missed any, because the basic theme of the study is reviewed each time we meet, and you're sure to get something out of it.
Where?? When??
ACT House (612 E. Wooster--blue house across from Founders)
TUESDAYS all this summer (well, May 15 - Aug. 7)
6:00pm COOK-OUT: you can come anytime between 6 and 7:30, but just remember that the earlier you get there, the more time you have to eat and see people :) if you can, please bring your own meat to grill and a side/snack/dessert to share... but if you can't, don't worry, there's always plenty to go around!)
7:30pm BIBLE STUDY: it starts with worship, then we watch the next video Bible study lesson, and then we discuss it a little bit and see what we can get out of the message.
AFTERWARDS: there is usually more fun and hanging out for those who stay around!
... you can come for just dinner, just the study, both... you get the idea. Just come by! The house is unlocked every Tuesday this summer at about 5-6pm, but often there will be someone inside earlier that day and other days too so just knock or call and anyone there can let you in :) Or call someone with a key card activated for the summer... if you would like a key card activated for the summer, there are applications to fill out and hand in to Dave.
Hope to see you this summer! If not, have a good one!
-- Katherine.

ACT Weekly Update for Apr 3-8 | ()
Quote of the Week: “He is risen! He is not here”. These are the words of the angel sitting on the right side of the opened tomb where Jesus had been buried three days earlier. The tomb was empty. This weekend the Christian world celebrates Easter-the Resurrection of Jesus. Unlike Christmas, the world doesn’t give as much attention to this “Christian” celebration. They like Christmas because Jesus is a still a non-threatening little baby whom they feel that they can ignore or manipulate. They don’t like Easter as much because Jesus is a grown up, demanding, conqueror and someone they can’t manipulate as they did the little baby. He is not as easily ignored. However, for the Christian, this grown up, demanding conqueror is also a savior, redeemer, friend. Be sure to go to church this Sunday to celebrate your relationship with your Savior, Redeemer, and Friend.
Good Friday & Easter Service...

ACT Weekly Update for Mar. 12-18 | ()
There’s good news and there’s bad news. The bad news is you’re a prisoner. The good news is, you have a visitor in your prison. And your visitor has a message that can get you paroled. You make your way to the receiving room. Take your seat in the chair, and look across the table at the psalmist David. He motions for you to lean forward. “I have a secret to tell you,” he whispers, “the secret of satisfaction. ‘The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want’” (Psalm 23:1)
